Angel is a rescue whose only vice is food--she’s a little overweight and we’ve got her on a diet and give her multiple walks a day. She’s 22 pounds. She snorts like a pig, walks while she eats and goes crazy over bananas and ice cubes. Her harness is great and she likes wearing it. She’s now an urban dog and in an urban setting there’s tons of things going on, but we need her to exercise and go to the bathroom. She loves stopping at the open door of the Chinese restaurant next to our building and giving the inside a few long sniffs. She loves to walk up to crowds of people, and there are a lot of them. So her walks can be daunting, not because of her but because she’s getting used to a more urban lifestyle. Having a harness that gives her freedom yet allows us to control her is very important right now. Although, she may never be able to just walk by the Chinese restaurant without giving it a little sniff!
